What do VSVS members do? Each member joins a team of 3-4 volunteers. Each team will teach four different lessons in the same classroom. The classrooms are off-campus and the lessons last 50 - 60 minutes. Allow 25 minutes for travel each way. For more information, please attend one of the following informational meetings:Wednesday, August 29th at 6 PM - Commons 320
Thursday, August 30th at 5 PM - Buttrick 101
Sunday, September 2nd at 1 PM - Commons 320
Time commitment: Once a week, for four weeks a semester, you will teach 1-hour long lessons. Because of the variability in traveling and picking up lesson kits, we require at least a 2.5 hour block of free time per lesson
Lessons start at various times from 8:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Monday - Thursday and end at 3:45 p.m. at the latest.
There are no lessons on Fridays this semester.
Everyone must complete the Protection of Minors module (you still must complete
the renewal module even if you have already completed it in the previous years)
in order to participate in VSVS.
You will receive instructions for completing (or renewing) your Protection of Minors module and submitting your certificate in a follow-up email after you submit this application.
